WE WANT TO BE YOUR FARMERS!

FOR THE ONES MADLY PASSIONATE ABOUT FOOD in Tampa bay...

Black Finger Farm is a local, bio-intensive farm providing organic produce and wild-harvested goods to Tampa Bay. We pride ourselves in growing the cleanest food possible, controlling our weeds using hoes, flames, and hands - hence our name. Dirty, black fingers are the result of a long days work!

We grow up to 35 different vegetables and fruits on 1 acre in Lutz, Florida. Our veggies are always free from pesticides, herbicides, and synthetic fertilizers. To create fertile soil and healthy vegetables, we use compost, organic fertilizers, and cover cropping.

Our small-scale farming techniques cultivate:

  • Higher quality, healthier plants

  • Biodiversity in our farm’s ecosystem

  • A community that cares about great food

Same great produce, many places...

Our season starts in October, and we’ll have an abundance of produce for our CSA Members, local Tampa Markets and at our Farm Stands. We’re expanding from 1 to 7 acres of urban farmland this season - that’s a big increase for a little farming operation like ours, and we couldn’t be more excited! Check out the links below for more information on where you can find our veggies in October.

MARKET FARM
PIONEERS...

Florida natives Joseph Dalessio and Kristin Beauvois are passionate about local goods and small-scale farming practices.

There are numerous benefits to supporting our local small farmers: we can enjoy foods that are fresh, have traveled minimal food miles, and taste delicious. You can taste the difference when eating foods that are freshly harvested and come from a local farm.
— Farmer Kristin
We’re looking at our farm as a biological ecosystem. As a farmer, our goal is to promote biological life and build our natural resources, using carbon sequestration in the soil as one of our primary principles. That lays the foundation for improved crops and plant health.
