The freeze has past and things are looking up as the weather begins to warm this week! Back to the 70s - my heart is nearly exploding as we get lots of replanting and bed turnover done this weekend.

Looking forward to the week, we'd like to take the time to highlight some of our amazing markets and support systems in the Tampa Bay area. Our customers are the heart of our farm and if it weren’t for all the amazing folks who come out each week to purchase produce from us we could not make a living doing what we love. The farmers market is a lovely place where we get to mingle with our dedicated customers and exchange why we value good food! 

  1. Temple Terrace Market (Saturdays 9 am-1 pm) feels like our "home base" these days. Our loyal customers show up each week to grocery shop for their favorites at this FOOD ONLY market! Here you can also pick up Trail Bale Farms sensibly raised, organic meats that I have refereed to a few times in our recipes. 
  2. The Farm market (Sundays 8 am-3 pm) is spent with CSA members and our neighbors in the Lutz community. This is a great opportunity to shop and gain some insight on our operation and why we grow the way we grow.
  3. And last, but certainly not least, our pop-up markets at Squeeze Juice Works (Mondays 4 pm-7 pm) and Fodder & Shine (Tuesdays 6 pm-8 pm) is a great way to meet new community members who are interested in local food sources. Not only are we thrilled to have the support of both of these amazing businesses, but we share the efforts in bringing more community members to local operations! 

Back at the farm this week Joe and I will be spending a lot of time forking, getting the seedlings out into the field, and filling the green house with newly planted trays of all of our spring favorites. We are hoping to be back on track in under two weeks, fingers crossed! 

Anyhow, I hope this weekend you all are able to swing into one of our local markets and pick up some goodies to whip up a tasty meal. Be sure to slow down a bit and gather around the table with folks that you’re stoked to spend time with!
