Friends, this week is BIG...This week marks the half-way mark of the 2016-17 growing season! We've delivered 16 boxes of beautiful, locally grown veggies, with only a few hiccups (thanks to the freeze), and we are looking forward to what Spring will bring in the next half of the season.

Speaking of "Spring"... we've been getting some bloody hot weather out on the farm again, it was definitely in the 80s yesterday. Florida knows how to throw some bi-polar weather for sure! Despite the rising temps, in the past week, we've planted our largest spinach rows to date and the spinach is THRIVING and more abundant than last year. Its the small victories in this crazy beautiful life of farming.

We've got nearly 5 beds to turn over this week to make space for all of our Spring crops heading out to the field in the next few weeks. You can look forward to tomatoes (again), strawberries, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, leeks, and onions, to name a few!

We hope whatever your weekend plans are that they include some tasty food, a few cold ones and some good company! See you at the market!

Cheers from Black Finger Farm.
